What Goes on a Workshop Job Card?

A workshop job card is the document that tracks a single repair or service job from intake to completion. It captures the customer and machine details, fault description, parts used, labour hours, and final costs — everything needed to invoice the customer and look up the job later.

Most UK workshops still use pre-printed paper pads (A4 or A5). The front captures customer details and instructions; the back has columns for parts and labour. This template follows the same structure but outputs a clean, formatted PDF you can print or email.

Key sections: customer name and contact, machine make/model/serial, fault description, parts used with costs, labour hours and rate, additional notes, and sign-off fields. All fields are optional — download a blank template to print a pad, or fill in the details for a specific job.
